We've had snow as early as November 4th. Michelle chanced upon a photo of it a few days ago then couldn't find it again.
You're right about ABQ. Snow rarely lasts beyond the end of the day. Back in the '70s we'd get enough to last a couple of days or more, but the ski resort on the backside of the Sandia Mountains closed in the '80s.
I don't mind snow for short periods, but months of dirty brown slush/snow/ice, like in Michigan where I was raised and my siblings still reside, is just too much!
I have never liked cold. In Germany we thought 82 was hot. We'd swim in the outdoor pool when - if we got out - we'd be shivering in minutes. After moving to El Paso in '67 where lids were 3 and 4 fingers high, I never wanted to go east again.
Early? Looks like it won't last long....I think of ABQ as not having much of that anyway.
