Rayburn Died

....Christmas day, in the afternoon; he was 94. 

Mary Catherine's email came at 6:33 pm yesterday (Fri.26th). We visited for an hour and a half this evening (27th).

I can't remember when we met, maybe as much as 20 years ago when she started Trap Free New Mexico.

I attended meetings of the State Game Commission and added my warm body and signature to protest leg-hold traps...an unbeLIEVABLY cruel way to kill animals.

They had 47 years together. She said it never would've been enough. She's going to bury him on their property in a wicker basket (coffin). Friends will come and help dig.

Rafi, on the left and Pepper, have been patient about waiting in the car when she went inside.
