Bob's yer uncle.
I went to The Martz & got a jack & stands to try & adjust the clutch myself. Just going & getting the stuff wore me out so badly I didn't wanna think about getting under her.
She might've brought $5k or more if I'd spent the $300.00 - $500.00 to get the interior spruced up, but I'm past the point.
They got a great deal. That's always nice. Now I can get the $82.00 back for the jack & stands.

You got some great memories from her. I felt bittersweet about watching the Brew Hut being towed away, but she gave me a lot and didn’t owe me anything.
ReplyDeleteSad to see her go. Glad she's back on the road.
ReplyDeletePhoebe. Better than to have loved and lost than...only walked? only used Uber? driven a Tesla? For a while a I continued to write to a friend who died, an atheist. In my mind he often responded that he had been wrong, that when you die they run your through a car cash and you start all over again. Perhaps when the colored foam stops, the twirling brushes slow and the 'Exit Now' sign lights up, Phoebe will be waiting, clutch adjusted.
ReplyDeleteI am always surprised how attached emotionally I get to cars, usually after they're gone. I've had quite a few in 65 years, and remember each one with fondness.
